REFRAME INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
ReFrame, a partnership between WIF and Sundance Institute committed to increasing the number of women, non-binary and trans people working in the screen industries, is seeking thoughtful and driven interns for the Spring 2025 semester.
ReFrame interns will work remotely with a small team, including the ReFrame Director and ReFrame Stamp program manager, and will report directly to the ReFrame programs coordinator.
ReFrame internships are part-time, unpaid and for school credit. The position is fully remote, with in-person event opportunities for interns in the Los Angeles area.
ReFrame Programs Intern
Responsibilities Include:
Primarily supporting the ReFrame Stamp for Gender-Balanced Production program, with support for ReFrame Rise and the ReFrame ReSource as needed.
ReFrame Stamp
Analyze the crew makeup of major film and television titles for ReFrame’s annual film and television reports
Contribute to ReFrame’s annual reports by analyzing raw Stamp data, crafting research narratives and copyediting report and press release drafts
Track application data
Conduct personnel and release research on films and shows applying for the Stamp
Update the ReFrame website, toolkits, and assets as new shows and films apply
ReFrame Rise
Support the planning for the next class of fellows and submission process
Provide administrative, technical, and general support to ongoing Rise program sessions
ReFrame ReSource
Add new ReSource pages on the website’s backend via WordPress as needed
Maintain organization system for images, copy and accessibility information in WordPress
Qualifications:
Full-time undergraduate or graduate student looking to pursue a career in entertainment, non-profit work, DE&I and/or data/research
A genuine interest in ReFrame’s mission
Interns will participate in weekly calls and daily communication, and will provide support for other organizational needs under the guidance of the ReFrame Staff.
ReFrame COMMUNICATIONS Intern
Responsibilities Include:
Work with ReFrame programs manager to develop and execute ReFrame’s strategic communications plan
Create and update graphics, copy, and program toolkits for posting on social media and in other communications; develop original content ideas to increase engagement on audience-facing platforms
Provide research and logistical support for email and social media campaigns, and website updates
Interface with ReFrame and WIF’s PR teams to develop communications strategies around annual report releases and other notable events
Undertake community engagement with followers on social media
Report upon key social media analytics
Qualifications:
Full-time graduate or undergraduate student looking to pursue a career in PR, marketing, social media and/or communications in entertainment
Experience working in or studying communications/marketing
Fluency in social media platforms and familiarity with scheduling and reporting software
Experience creating web and social media images using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Canva
Strong written communication skills; ability to write short, engaging marketing copy with correct spelling and grammar
